iRACING! Wednesday NIght
Last week, 29 virtual-racers attacked the Thunderbolt circuit at NJMP under (simulated) treacherous conditions and once again the man from Ohio, DJ Alessandrini took the chequered flag and bested our own Francios Bru and yet another Ohioan, Kyle Herbst in the Touring Car class.
Over in Big Bore, last week's bridesmaid, Christopher Laprus was able to edge out DC-Region and Round 1 winner Forrest Landy leaving Dave Fitzgerald with the bronze (again).
Paul Darling of Michigan pulled off another win over WDCR member Elias Roman and NWOR's Dennis Barrett in the Global MX-5 class; the results being a cut-n-paste from Round 1 at Watkins Glen.
If you missed last week's live stream, head over to SYMtv's YT channel https://youtu.be/xOfQLzvMgWc and get all caught up.
The 2-mile, 10-turn Summit Point track is familiar to most if not all WDCR members as it hosts the premiere Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series (MARRS) and our HPDE and Time Trials programs. The virtual version has been on the WDCR iRacing League's calendar since we began the program almost 3-years ago and this week we line-up all 3-classes for another exciting 25-minute sprint race.
So set a reminder to join the SYMtv live-stream at 8:00 PM EST and watch the split-class qualifying and the main event that roars to life at 8:30 PM EST. Here's the link to the Round 3 broadcast - https://youtu.be/oyfRZBJ6XPM.
See you Wednesday!
It's still not too late to join the league; go to https://www.virtualmarrs.com/s-u-p-p-s for all the details on how to get started.
